Dr. Fruehwald originally grew up on a small farm in Florida. She received her veterinary degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. She then completed a small animal rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan, NY followed by a small animal specialty surgical internship at UF. Dr. Fruehwald then returned to AMC for a surgical residency. Her clinical interests include epicardial pacemaker implantation (my previous dog, Toaster Strudel, had one), surgical oncology and emergency surgery. When she isn't working, she enjoys running and hiking with her dog, Cannoli.
