Dr. Tamilselvam Gunasekaran, (Dr. G) earned his Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry in India, graduating top of his class from Madras Veterinary College in 2008. Dr. Gunasekaran then completed a small animal rotating internship at Michigan State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in 2013. He concluded his Cardiology Residency at Michigan State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in 2020, following which he pursued further studies in Veterinary Practice Management at Purdue University. He achieved board certification in Cardiology from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) in 2021. Dr. G focuses on diagnosing and treating heart-related illnesses utilizing advanced imaging techniques that offer detailed insights into the heart, aiding in the diagnosis of your pet's condition. He works closely with the ARISE Veterinary Center team as a locum Cardiologist on site and via telemedicine. His special interests include arrhythmia management and interventional procedures.
