Dr. Anna Wilkins
Dr. Anna Wilkins grew up on an island in British Columbia, Canada. Becoming a veterinarian has been a lifelong dream of hers. Dr. Wilkins graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada. After graduation, she spent a short amount of time in emergency private practice before starting a 1-year rotating internship at Michigan State University. In July 2023, she joined the AVECCC team as a 1st year Resident. She chose AVECCC because of the advanced level of medicine that is available to patients. Dr. Wilkins is passionate about critical care medicine. Her special areas of interest include anaphylaxis, sepsis, and nephrology (kidney medicine). She also values client communication and supporting clients through the difficult experience of having a sick pet in the emergency room and hospital.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Wilkins has several hobbies including hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, and paddleboarding.
