Dr. Brandi Mattison graduated from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Following graduation, Dr. Mattison practiced general medicine for 4 years in a walk-in practice in Spokane, Washington where she developed an interest in emergency and critical care medicine. Dr. Mattison completed an emergency and critical care internship and residency at Michigan State University in 2011 and became board-certified the same year. She has been an enthusiastic part of the AVECCC team since 2011 and Medical Director for over 6 years.

Dr. Mattison’s special interests include immune-mediated thrombocytopenia and hemolytic anemia, disorders of coagulation, acute kidney injury, dialysis/therapeutic plasma exchange and care of the critically ill post-operative patient.
