Dr. Robert Schnurr is a Board-Certified Veterinary Radiologist, joining our team in Arizona. Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Dr. Schnurr earned his BA in Biology from the University of Louisville before pursuing his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University in Alabama.
Following veterinary school, Dr. Schnurr completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at a private practice in Rockville, Maryland. His passion for diagnostic imaging led him to pursue a residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he completed specialized training in radiology in 2021.
After residency, Dr. Schnurr spent a year practicing in the Pacific Northwest before relocating to Arizona to continue his work in veterinary radiology. His clinical interests include abdominal and musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided diagnostics, and computed tomography.
Outside of work, Dr. Schnurr enjoys exploring local food spots, outdoor activities, and hosting game nights with friends. At home, he shares life with his dog Zeppelin, an overly happy tripod pittie, and two young cats—Dora, a sweet but shy Domestic Longhair, and Sprite, a Domestic Shorthair who never turns down affection.
